Tap Teacher:

We are seeking a fabulous tap teacher or teachers to  take over from our wonderful current teacher who is moving away from the area in June - however, we appreciate that the right candidate may be available only from September with the start of the new school year.  If you are interested in the position either temporarily as cover or as a permanent post, please do get in touch.

We have classes for children and adults from age 4, and we follow the ISTD grades syllabus from Primary through to Intermediate currently.  We have an annual all-school show which takes place in March and we run exam sessions, filmed or in person according to numbers, whenever we have a cohort ready.  This part of the school is small, but committed and keen to progress.  Classes are all currently organised on weekday evenings, but for the right candidate(s) this timetable may be altered.

The right person will be an experienced and qualified teacher,  knowledgeable about the ISTD syllabus.  They will be child/student-centred in their approach, creative, and have high standards of personal integrity and professionalism.  They will enjoy working as part of a team, and may have an entrepreneurial spark.  They will be able to supply excellent references and evidence of their teaching history.  They will have a first aid qualification and teaching insurance, and evidence their commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

The position is for a self-employed professional with compensation payable through a basic teaching rate arranged pro-rata over 11 months, plus a profit-share, payable in month 12 (August).

To apply for this or any position, please download and complete this application form and send it to our Principal, Imogen Knight, for consideration.  We use this application form as part of our committment to equal opportunity and Safer Recruitment principles.  (if you need a word document, please phone or email us and we'll send you the different file type). cod-application-blank.pdf

Ballet Teacher:

We are seeking to expand our ballet teaching team, with opportunities to teach children on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the studios, plus an outreach placement on Thursdays.  We are proud to say that demand for our classes and teachers is high, hence the timetable expanding.  This opportunity is with effect from September 2024, and the initial committment would be for a year.

We run classes from pre-school through to Advanced, accepting both children and adults (according to standard), we put on an annual whole-school show in March, with RAD exam sessions held in June and November.  RAD syllabus knowledge is useful but not essential for all classes, as we are seeking a teacher to cover general and development classes, with exam preparation led by our RAD RTS teachers.

The right person will be an experienced and qualified teacher, preferably an RAD Registered Teacher, however all qualifications & training will be considered.
